Manganese is the 25th element of the periodic table. The first utilization of Manganese can be traced to the stone age where Manganese Dioxide was being used by the cavemen as a pigment for their cave paintings. Manganese might be little known but it is the fourth most used metal by volumes after Iron, Aluminium and Copper.

Manganese has numerous applications that impact our daily lives, from consumer products made of steel to portable batteries to beverage cans based on aluminium and also as an essential element in maintaining human health.
